Research and Evaluation

Research

Healthcare practice is continually evolving and so it should.   We want to get better at what we do and how we do it. New questions are asked, and answers are found through research and evaluation.

Here at Healthcare Communication Matters, we are currently involved in exciting research and evaluation projects relating to healthcare communication.  Currently, this is mostly in cancer services and palliative care and practitioner development.

We continue to seek funding to develop our Consultation Support Tool and utilise it in clinical practice and are working with an excellent team of academics in the East Midlands.

Working with experts from the University of East Anglia ImPACT group co-directed by Carrie Jackson and Professor Kim Manley CBE, we are currently engaged in a realist evaluation project with Marie Curie. Additionally, Lynn and Kim are working on a modified Delphi Project with Health Education England.

Additionally, Lynn sits on the Scientific Review Panel for Mesothelioma UK. Also,  the Independent Review Board at Anthony Nolan in a voluntary capacity.

If you want to get a greater sense of Lynn’s research to date, please take a browse through her publications. We are more than happy to support research and work with other groups interested in healthcare communication research.

Please do get in touch with us if you would like to talk through an idea and are considering working with us.
